Song Critical Analysis

Lee Brice has been called one of the most promising new voices in country. As a boy Lee wanted to be a football player like his father. That was a short lived plan because he ended up injuring his arm his senior year. He had to have cartilage removed from his arm and that ended his sports career. Lee Brice was working on his civil engineering degree when he decided to follow his dream instead. He spent his spring break in Nashville checking out the town and its possibilities. During his visit to Nashville he met songwriter and producer Doug Johnson. Doug Johnson told Lee “I see that you love music with every bone in your body, so unless you love civil engineering as much you love music, you need to be here.” That is all it took, Lee left Clemson that summer and headed to Nashville. Lee sharpened his songwriting, played at songwriting circles. It took him six years to finish his first album Love like crazy. Lee is engaged to be married this year. His fiance is longtime girlfriend Sara Reeveley. They have a son named Takoda. Lee and Sara have know each other around fourteen years. Lee plans on taking a month off for his wedding and honeymoon.Lee Brice has lots of great songs on his albums. Two of his best albums are his first album Love you like crazy and Hard to love .It took him six years to write the first album called Love you like crazy. He says in that time he grew as a songwriter and singer. The album Hard 2 love is one of the best. The first song on the album is Hard to love. This song is one of my favorites. The second song on the album is A women like you.

I believe the songs tell of different kinds of love. The hard to love song tells of someone loving you unconditional and you not accepting it completely. I think sometimes love scares people and they might put you through a test to see if you are worthy. It might be that they had their heart broken and are afraid. It is not always easy loving people.
