The essence of mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple. S. Gudder

Mathematics is the basis of explanation of all phenomena taking place around us. I had immense love for Mathematics right from my high school years. Pythagoras, Fibonacci, Pascal were some of the laws that had made lasting impressions on my mind. I was mesmerized by the vast applications of mathematics ranging from physics, engineering like signal and image processing, communication, finance, astronomy and much more. As a young budding engineer, I always dreamt to contribute to the society in the most unconventional way. As my research suggested that the numerous applications of Mathematics are in the field of Science and Engineering, I enrolled for an undergraduate program in Electronics and Telecommunication at Mukesh Patel School of Technology and Management Engineering, NMIMS.

Currently, I am in the final year of my under-graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication. I was introduced to a variety of courses like Digital Time Signal processing, Probability and Stochastic process, Integration and Derivatives. I was enthralled and wished to blend engineering, programming with core mathematical functions. In order to get well versed with programming, I took my final year project on building management systems. The goal of the project was to design a safety system to be installed in the building to avoid any robbery or fire or loss of any important documents. The system is designed using the software InTouch Wonderware. I also designed microcontroller based fire alarm systems using the microcontroller 89c51. Impressed with my technical skills, I was appointed as an undergraduate intern at Microcon where I developed and designed data acquisition system and furnace management systems.

Adoption is an extremely sensitive subject,(insert dash) especially for individuals who are Gay or Lesbian. There is much controversy on the topic. There are a variety of ways to which it isn’t possible for a couple to adopt. Infertility is becoming a greater problem in our time. In Gerald P. Mallon’s article, “Assessing Lesbian and Gay Prospective Foster and Adoptive Families: A Focus on the Home Study Process,” in 2007. He introduces a few different ways gay men and lesbian couples go about starting a family and mentions how the decision to adopt or become a foster parent for a child is a huge step in parenting. There are even more studies today that show, gay men and lesbians make good parents. In Scott Weber’s article, “Nursing Care of Families with Parents who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender,” he brings to attention, what the child may experience growing up in such circumstances. Some things a child may experience are teasing and sensitivity to being harassed. Both articles have valid arguments on the topic of gay men and lesbian headed families. Mallon argues how lesbians and gay men are potential parents for many children and youth who need permanent families while Webber argues children of non heterosexual couples are more likely to be teased and sensitive to being harassed.…

I would describe my education till now as a constant search to find answers to questions. A desire to understand things and answer questions has been my driving force. My ten years of schooling in St. Ann’s English Medium School (Rajahmundry) and two years of pre-university at Narayana Junior College (Hyderabad), which is one of the reputed colleges in India with Board of Intermediate accreditation have given me firm grounding in Mathematics and Physics, which I think will act as a big boost to my understanding and estimating abilities which could act as an important asset in the field of business. I have completed Four years of under graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering at “GMRIT”, affiliated to JNTU University. During my college I had the opportunity of applying my theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to practical problems encountered in the real world.…

Mathematics, Science, and engineering career paths are impacting today’s changing world even more by the day. Almost everything we do has an element of all three of these fields. For example, cars use math inequalities when you see a speed limit. It uses friction and aerodynamics from science to calculate the max speed. It’s design and build are a result of the evolution of engineering. No matter how advanced and complex our inventions become, mathematicians, scientists,…

Music, art/design, and even athletics are built on mathematics. A pianist can benefit from patterns and sequences when composing much the same way that a golfer can benefit from math-based physics, trigonometry, and even statistics when driving. No matter which avenue a student pursues, math will somehow be present. It is not only the responsibility of a nurse, an engineer, or a physicist to know mathematics. Rather, it is in each student’s best interest that they apply, or at least consider, mathematics in all areas of…
