Sometimes taking a chance on something is necessary because it inspires you to change as a person. For example, in the movie Soul Surfer, Bethany Hamilton has a difficult choice to make. After being attacked by a shark, she has to decide whether she wants to get back into the water or stay away from the ocean forever. She decides to take a chance on herself and get back into surfing which leads her to become a pro-surfer despite the fact that she only has one arm. Bethany changes into a girl that is determined after she takes the chance to get back into the water. Another example of someone taking a chance and changing as a result is the pop star Justin Beiber. Before he became such a massive superstar, he got his big break on the internet
through YouTube. He was just a normal kid from a normal family that lived in Canada. However, when someone discovered his talent, he was almost instantly transformed into a pop star. Although he was considered a positive role model early in his career, he is also an example of how someone could change for the worse after taking too many terrible chances. Both Bethany Hamilton and Justin Beiber are perfect examples of how taking a chance can cause you to change for the better or in some cases, for the worse.
