Abstract
The study sought out to (1) determine the sources of information and knowledge, attitudes, and practices of a fishing community; and (2) find out if sources of information related to the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP). The survey research method was used and data were gathered through self-administered questionnaire (SAQ). There 70 randomly selected respondents- 36 male and 34 female residents of Barangay Aplaya, Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite.
The questionnaire consisted of five parts: socio-demographic characteristics; the respondents’ sources of information regarding solid waste management; knowledge level; attitudes towards solid waste management practices; and practices. It was also included the preferred media of the respondents. Simple random sampling procedure was used to determine the number of respondents in the study.
