Human population is growing like never before. One billion people a day are being added to the world every 12 years. Due to this issue, shortages of all of our resources, limits on personal freedom, overcrowding and the health and survival of other species are at risk. One out of every six people alive go to bed hungry. Every day, 24,000 die of hunger and other malnutrition related diseases. In many places all over the world, childhood asthma rates have been increasing. These are usually in air polluted areas due to factories and the harmful smoke they let out into the atmosphere. The air quality is severely bad that forces people to abandon their homes. For example, half of the earth’s population relies on burning wood for cooking and warmth of their homes. More and more people live in regions with a high number of trees. As the time goes by, scarcity of trees becomes common and the people are forced to travel further each day to collect wood. They not only leave because of the lack of wood but also because of the air quality. Our world today is exposed to many issues that cause the death of a huge number of people. These issues are getting harder and harder to control. In conclusion, Europe faced many political since the fall of the Soviet Union. These changes affected Europe in both a positive and negative way. Globalization, new technology, and terrorism shaped Europe into the continent it is today.
