I knew that I loved uncovering the hidden meaning in texts ever since I was a little girl. I did that by asking many questions, and my mother, she's the religious type, would always get so angry because I was “questioning God”. But I didn’t discover that I was actually suitable for it until recently, especially in my spanish class because we had an entire unit on analyzing all types of work. This skill was actually noticed by my English teacher at times. In fact, at the beginning of the school year, I believe it was our first project in my teams. It was the Scottsboro Trials presentation, I had gotten a comment on my scoring sheet and it said, “Good analyses of poems”. Then, later in the year, I think we began second semester, we started to do the TFA Lit Circle presentations. These presentations consisted of a : closer reader, character watcher, plot tracker, proverb interpreter, and a questioner. I would always pick proverb interpreter for one of my slides and my partners didn’t really mind because they knew I would get it done and done well. I would, for the most part, always get questions at the end of the presentations about the proverbs and it was fairly easy to keep the conversation and answer the question properly. As time went on, creating more of the lit circles, you can see the improvement on my analyzation, not only in the slides but on my score sheet comments. This is, without a doubt, a skill that these work samples demonstrate I have
