Abstract
Starting off this experiment, with the main target to acquire a clear understanding of the apparatus which is an Internal Combustion (Spark Ignition Engine) and the purpose of retrieving measurements while carrying out the test. Moreover, to be aware of the connections between different parameters related to torque of the engine and speed kept at a constant all over.
Introduction
The Spark Ignition (SI) engines work on the principle of cycle of operations invented by Nicolaus A. Otto in the year 1876. (Khemani, 2008)
Centuries ago internal combustion engines came into usage. Ever since, they have enhanced remarkably as the learning of engine process has been advanced. Creating a performance map for an internal combustion engine is useful, it expresses the fuel efficiency in brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) which differs with each combination of torque and speed.
The most commonly used category of internal combustion engines are the piston-type gasoline engines used in automobiles. And in portable machineries for movable propulsion. Since, it provides with high power-to-weight ratios together with brilliant fuel energy density, they are tend to be quite advantageous. These engines can be found in almost all kinds of transport (trucks, bikes, boats, rails etc.). Sometimes very high power-to-weight ratios are required,
