When a child is born, they take it to see if it's strong or weak. If it's strong, they take the baby back home, if it’s weak they put the baby on a mountain to die. So the parents raise their child till they’re 7 then he goes to the military till he’s 60. They do competition who’s the strongest by seeing who kills who first or getting whipped on there back. And who was ever really smart was killed because they didn't want to feel dumb. And i thought that was kinda good because you don’t need to know all this reading stuff. And they had to focus on fighting any ways. Besides it would take up their time when they trained any way like how they practice all day they wouldn't get all their training in so I think it was good. That’s on document D.
I know people might say all this is a weakness but they're wrong . Why because sparta only did things that make them stronger not weaker. Like when they whip the kids, I know that it sounds awful but in the end it did them stronger, better so it's not bad. Or when they can’t wear shoes and not eat as much they usually eat. But it’s good training like when they go to war they will have limited food and they might not have any shoes and not wearing shoes made there feet stronger so now they can walk farther than other.
So now you know how hard sparta worked and it payed of in the long run because they were a very successful army. They never showed any mercy when they fought and were always tough and that's what made it so hard to beat Sparta.
