Mock IEP Team Meeting
In this mock IEP meeting, we examine John Grohman from Kelsey Elementary School. John is a 2nd grade student who has Asperger’s Syndrome. He is a student who has extreme behavioral problems. John’s parents are extremely concerned about his behavior at home and at school. In this mock IEP, we look at John from his parents, special education teacher, administrator, general education teacher, and evaluator; to get a better picture of what is needed to help John be successful.
We examine all aspects of the IEP and discuss questions and concerns that we all have from the different perspectives involving John. The best way to convey this knowledge is in an informative website designed around John and his IEP team.

Discuss Student’s Strengths: John appears to be a very smart young man. He understands directions very well and has no trouble at all with classroom subjects. John is very attentive to the classroom set-up and the following of our normal schedule.
Discuss Student’s Weaknesses: Social inabilities, need for specific directions, inability to deal with changes in the schedule, physical altercations and denial of events or behaviors. He has also started to show a lack of respect for authority which has caused a lot of disturbance in class.
