Teachers and Fellow Red House members,
For those of you who don’t know me already, my name is Kirstin Strachan and I would like to represent you as Red House Captain. I am really enjoying being in the red house, and what would make my last year at Wester Overton really special for me would be for me to lead the red house through an exceptionally fabulous year. When I think of the colour red, tomato sauce comes to mind – let’s face it, it’s good with everything – It’s the same with the Red House, we are good with everything – and if you vote for me, I will do my best to make sure your talents shine. If you need to speak to someone you’ve got a friend in me. Like most of us, I love to see a red sky at night, the promise of a bright new day tomorrow. With me as your house captain, I can’t promise sunny weather, but I can promise that if you come to me with a problem, I will do my best to give you a bright new tomorrow. Not many of us like red hot chillies, but they are spicy and fiery, alive and kicking – just like members of the red house. Red reminds me of drivers L plates. I can’t help but think of certain premier league football teams playing in red strips whose success is known all over the world. (Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool…). If I am lucky enough to be elected as your house captain, I will endeavour to make our team as successful as those. Most of us associate the colour red with ‘STOP’, ‘warning’ and ‘danger.’ Well okay then –
STOP here and listen - let this be a warning to the other houses – with me as red captain, the RED HOUSE IS THE HOUSE TO BEAT! And, with hair
