Infants and toddlers with disabilities experience and research experience. I was provided multiple opportunities to get connected and volunteer through the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association. I also felt the desire to do my part in getting connected with my program, and was the undergraduate co-chair for volunteers for the Iowa Conference on Communicative Disorders. I also attended Advocacy day at the state capitol to speak to representatives about the importance of our field, and why it was of utmost importance that SLP’s keep their licensure to allow clients to receive quality care. The people I worked with and lessons I was able to learn both in and out of school qualify me
