One teen, two teens, three teens, four; Crying on the bathroom floor. Five teens, six teens, seven, eight, and nine; does it look like they’re really fine? One person can comment on someone’s picture or status then bring people in just so they can laugh along with them. One spark, ignites a flame, one flame starts a fire. Imagine checking your phone and seeing 10 new messages, “Is it true what they are saying about you?” Imagine sitting alone at lunch because no one wants to be your friend, no one wants to sit with you because rumors say you have diseases. Imagine walking into class and everyone laughing at you or even skipping school just because you don’t want to deal with the same pain every day. You can’t escape this pain, it’s on your phone, and the internet so it’s with you everywhere you go but you get it ten times worse at school. Cyber bullying and bullying are some of the main reasons for dropping out and excessive absences. Cyber bullying basically drives kids out of school, because they aren’t safe, school should be the one place kids look forward to. Although how can you with an unsafe environment? No one realizes that these comments that people make can stay with someone for the rest of their lives. It’s really sad, how a beautiful girl can’t see her true beauty, inner and outer because a group of mean girls calls her ugly. It is sad how one boy can over dose on steroids because kids at school call him “scrawny”. So when these kids you bully look at themselves in the mirror they won’t see their potential in the future, they will be looking for the end of them, and they will see themselves as ugly or an outsider just because that’s what you told them. They see the messages you sent and will literally cry themselves to sleep. You might say “why don’t you just change your number, delete you social networking sites or just avoid your phone all together?” Well the victims of cyber bullying become addicted and it’s like their stuck in a vortex once they see what people are saying about them they want to keep seeing it, they won’t come out of the vortex. However these people will carry your comments on with them with their rest of the life, it will cause permanent damage, and sometimes the pain is too much to where they take their own life all because you bullied them a couple of years back. Cyber bullying should be illegal everywhere because cyber bullying is basically murder, your murdering someone mentally and for that there should be MAJOR consequences. So let’s make a stand together against cyber bullying, no one should ever feel worthless to the point to they would rather take their own life then live. If that was your brother or your sister getting bullied on the internet you would stand up for them, well what about these other kids constantly getting bullied who have no one there for them? You should be the brother or sister they never had. Cyber bullying should be illegal everywhere; in every state and not only through school. By ending cyber bullying we are saving lives, imagine all the kids that have committed suicide that could have been mothers or fathers. Stand up for other but as well as yourself. If you ever feel the need to call a bullying hotline, call them! Bullying lines are absolutely anonymous and they are free! Don’t be afraid to get help or help someone because remember words do hurt, they scar in fact.
