Speech On Development In Nepal

Development has a vivid meaning in itself. Different writers have their own concept of development. In my perception, development cannot be described in one line or a paragraph. Basically development means improving the living standard of all human beings. Development is a continuously changing concept. With the change of time, concept of development also changes. In the past also process of development was active whereas now in 21st century development merely means new technologies, innovation, computer (internet), nuclear technology and space technology. Not only in underdeveloped nations but also in developed countries, development has become the most pressing challenge. As every country wants to be more developed with the latest technologies
Maximum people are under the line of poverty, unemployment, there is low income and very high illiteracy rate. Basics needs of life are very luxurious for the people. In context of Nepal inventing space technology and nuclear technology is still out of reach. Nepal is struggling to fulfill the basic requirements which people need. For Nepal development still means construction of road, electricity, water line, schools and hospitals. In most of the rural areas of Nepal people are still lacking these facilities. Kathmandu has been overly populated being the capital of Nepal the basic infrastructures, schools, colleges, hospitals, government institutions and many other facilities are available here. Thus, people prefer to settle here. People have certain basic needs without which it would be impossible to live. But still the heart of the nation is not able to make people
It is the duty of government to look after the people and development of the nation. Related issues should be given particular attention and identifying to solve the major problems. An effort has to be taken solving these issues. Thus, from my perspective development only in a particular area is not enough. From higher to lower, economic to social, caste, gender, unemployment, poverty, human rights to good governance. Every sector should be given equal emphasis for the development of a nation. Nepal being agrarian country agriculture is given more priority whereas industrialization and modernization are also equally important. Likewise people’s participation in the whole process of development is the key point. Community, society, organizations all should involve in development activities. Moreover a change is needed for the whole development concept. This can lead to a better nation, where literacy rate is high, less poverty, maximum numbers of people are employed, good productivity and advanced facilities. Thus, it is only possible when it is
