3 visions. That’s all the man had. That’s all he wanted India to be. That’s how he wanted us to live. He departed from the role of President, thinking, dreaming but above all hoping that these visions would one day succeed.
He expected a lot from all Indians, but mostly from the youth. Don’t be surprised if you find a lot of quotes in this speech. I have mainly used Dr. Kalam’s quotes because he was so eloquent in his thoughts that the world considered them as quotes!!!
Good Morning everyone. I am Sarvesh Paradkar of Grade 9 and today I am going to speak on the topic of ‘The Role of the Youth in Realising the Dreams of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’.
‘My message, especially to young people is to have courage to think differently, courage to invent, to travel the unexplored path, courage to discover the impossible and to conquer the problems and succeed. These are great qualities that they must work towards.’ This beautifully woven web of words were spoken by Dr. Kalam. But unlike many other politicians in our country, he actually meant those words. He wanted the youth to come out of their metaphorical cave and to be bound together by the common identity that we all share, our home. He wanted them to fight for equal rights among Indians, themselves. He wanted them to fight corruption, themselves. He wanted the youth to play a major part in empowering the masses, to promote the feeling of patriotism. He wanted the youth to look for jobs inside the country, so our country becomes a more formidable force. He wanted them to be involved in the nation’s social issues that were hurting the nation. He wanted everyone to rise to the challenge which is clear when he said, ‘The best brains of the nation are found on the last bench of the classrooms’.
