Speech To Rheem Analysis
Good Morning,

Not to sound cliché, but it is with a GINORMOUS amount of sadness that I tender my resignation effective November 1, 2017. Unfortunately, clinical will not allowed me to fulfill the obligations to Rheem as a part-time nurse. I am grateful for the opportunities, knowledge, and camaraderie you all have given me. If I can be of service to you all in the future, please do not hesitate to call.

Forever Indebted,

The movie “Walkout” is a movie that tells the story of students who struggle in the high school rights that are given to them. The students boycotted the high schools to improve their way of education. This money was an interesting movie that showed the history of “Chicanos” who are also known as people of Mexican descent. The movie did a great job in showing the struggle that the Chicanos had to go through so they could improve the quality of education that was given to them. One part that I especially love about the movie is when the main protagonist of the movie “Paula Crisostomo” was told by her father to never join a boycotting group as it could change her way opportunities. Paula continuously tries to talk with a group of people who want…

Have you ever been challenged by an experience? Have you ever changed because of this experience? Good morning to the representives of the Board of studies,.... and I wish to justify why the texts I have studied should be kept on the reading list of this module “Into the World”. “The Story of Tom Brennan” by J.C Burke and the feature article of “Sliver Linings” found in the of Sydney Morning Herald’s “The Good Weekend” both emphasise the idea that people are able to come out of difficult situations and see the world from a new perspective.…

I comprehend Alan M Dershowitz’s speech of “A Real Test For Any Proposed Speech Code or Policy” as accurate because it can not be up to citizens to decide which words are offensive and which words are appropriate. More specifically, I believe that adding restrictions to Americans freedom of speech would be in total violation of the First Amendment and completely unrealistic to enforce. For example, Alan Dershowitz’s states "the proper response to offensive speech is to criticize and answer it, not censor it.” Although Harvard Law might counter this by saying that they didn’t want anyone at their school to view the offensive words of Tom Paulin. I maintain that freedom of speech is part of our foundation in America and we need to use it to benefit…

Mr. Hrabowski began his keynote speech by telling the audience about when he was a young boy and his parents insisted that he go to a church service where a guest pastor was speaking. This guest pastor emphasized the need for the children to participate in a peaceful protest going on, proclaiming, “If the children participate in this peaceful march, America will know even our babies know the difference between right and wrong” (M. King). It was soon revealed that this guest pastor was Martin Luther King Jr. himself. From there Mr. Hrabowski described his experience in the march, his realization that he was not in fact a second hand citizen and that he could do anything he put his mind to. This realization put the strength of change behind him and he pursued his education. Personally, I took away from the speech that he felt that education was the key behind change. In parting words, he left the audience, especially the students, with these words: “Learn to ask questions… learn to listen… and learn to act” (F. Hrabowski).…

Imagine yourself waking up every morning and realizing that you have to literally avoid death from the moment you wake up till the time you are supposedly safe at home. Imagine that you’re told by many people, who you love, that you’re a sin and that you will burn in hell. Imagine that everyday the people you thought cared for you turn you away and threaten you if you don't change, for some people that is something they can never even begin to understand, but now imagine it happening to someone for their entire life. Laverne Cox, a transgender woman and actress, gives a powerful speech during ‘Creating Change 2014’ (an organization that brings awareness to the LGBT community) she talks about the violent injustices and police discrimination against the lives of transgender women of color as a way to spread awareness of the inequalities of transgender within the LGBT community to those who feel the T in LGBT isn't as important. Throughout her speech she appeals to the viewer's empathy to those in pain through personal anecdotes and asyndeton sentences.…

To become a registered nurse, you go through grueling training and studying. It takes time, effort, dedication, a couple breakdowns, and calling. It would be assumed that an individual going through all of this struggle and work to get those two influential letters behind their name would never think to turn away from the profession once finally achieving the role that such commitment was given to. Unfortunately, no one can prepare an eager R.N. graduate for the journey they are about to take. It comes down to the individual and their evaluation and interpretation of factors that lessen their motivation and task value in the profession they only thought would bring satisfaction and gratitude. Many nurses quit each year for numerous reasons to the point that nursing retention ideas…

Richmond P. Hobson, a representative from Alabama, was known for a prohibitionist. In other word, the supporter of temperance movement. The temperance movement was active since 1820 to 1966, and its goal was the “moderation” and “complete abstinence” from the alcoholic drinks (“Temperance Movement”). At that time, a lot of conflicts were associated with alcoholism. Many prohibitionists formed during this time, so most of the prohibitionists have intense feelings to enact temperance.
