SPES 2015
What can I say about my experience in SPES this year? I got shocked when I knew that I was assigned in Mayor’s Office because I wasn’t expecting but it has something to do with my course. I already expected that when we say Mayor’s office the first thing that was expected was this is the busiest office in the whole office of the Government of Malabon because it is the center of all the transactions in the City of Malabon concerning the welfare of our co-Malabonian. Mayor’s Office staffs were saying that we are lucky because we were assigned in the month of Malabon day. In our first day we did make some bandiritas that put inside of the amphitheater for the celebration of Malabon day. The next day, we make pabitin and palayok that requested by different barangays. I learned to socialize to different kind of people that enters and leave the Mayor’s office. Some of them are in needs in terms of medical assistance, financial assistance, educational assistance, etc. I also learned to use Xerox and Fax machines and answer telephone calls. There are some days that we go to different barangays to help in assisting people in Kalingang Malabonian wherein Mayor reach different barangays to help in their prior needs. Sometimes I was assigned in HEWCC to sort files and documents or being assigned in Pagamutang Bayan ng Malabon to help med.techs and assist students that undergo drug testing. Those last days of our summer in cityhall are spent in repacking bags for BalikEskwela 2015 and calling different schools for delivery of the said bags. Because of this experience, I opened my mind to support different activities and programs to be headed of our Hon. Antolin A. Oreta III that giving Malabonians a better kind of living. Staffs and all people in Mayor’s office were very kind and have a warm welcome to all the people that enters the office. They are also dedicated and know they’re responsibilities inside the office, regardless of mountains of work they never forget to smile

A year ago, I volunteered as a student ambassador in NPS. Each team has five members, and there was a mission to make two plans for a publicity campaign and put them into practice in a month. I was given a name as “A little Steve Jobs” by fellow members due to my creative and affable personalities, as I shine especially when I had to present in public. For instance, once there was a project regarding social contribution. I suggested to do fundraising by selling bracelets to keep mosquitoes away at Banpo Park, which is famous for summering place. We fundraised for our mission wearing uniforms with “NPS” logo for reducing people’s aversion (aversion is a strong word, is it this serious?) to us. My role was reaching out to people because I am…

Who would preach, take part in the weekly play, present the news, etc. The atmosphere of the school has helped me a lot. The STEMs are boarding schools in Egypt where you can learn more about people because you are living with them. I have joined the school IT-team because of my experience and knowledge in technology where I was responsible for helping people who are new to using technology in learning. Fix problems with laptops, computers, projectors, etc. After a while I became the organizer of the team. I have dawned, appeared, loved people, and be loved. After just one year in the School, I ran for the vice secretary office in the school’s student union, and unsurprisingly there has been unanimous agreement upon me. I helped the secretary and we both carried out a lot of missions, starting a foundation for teaching STEM students different skills. Influence, my highest principle, has driven me to share my knowledge through this foundation. I have given an introductory course to the java programming language and I worked to look for people who have the will, desire and motivation to help their colleagues…

Grueling yet enjoyable. Enjoyable because I knew these are the works that I may attain inthe near future. And I hope it may come true. As time went by, I learned to value intimacy and close-knit relationship together with myco-trainees and superiors. I learned principles of archiving.
