Sphinx Monologue
Today I pulled into Thebes and ran into the great Sphinx. The sphinx was terrorizing the town with her riddle. If I could only answer her riddle, “What is the creature that walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three in the evening?” I was able to answer the riddle that nobody else could. The sphinx went over the cliff, therefore killing her. Today I became the King of Thebes. And also I married an attractive woman. What a bizarre way of ending a year that started out with me being a killer! Just so happened their king mysteriously disappeared, so the townspeople decided to show me their gratitude by giving me the throne. They also gave me their queens’ hand in marriage, which makes me the King of Thebes. Cool, right? Who

    I am Tybalt, a Capulet and cousin of Juliet. I am known as short-tempered, impulsive, and a vengeful person, I draw my sword anytime I can. In that case I will provoke Romeo at the city centre of Verona so he will start a fight with me. When the prince found out that Romeo starts a fight with me he will banish Romeo from Verona forever instead of me. I sent a challenge letter to Romeo for a duel to the death and vowed to meet him later on. I didn’t know if Romeo will show up but I went off to look for him after the masked ball.
