Spitting Gecko
The gekkota conspuentibus more commonly know as the spitting gecko is found in the treetops of the tropical forest all across the world, they can grow up to 6 inches in length and usually camouflage with the trees. They mostly like to feast on fresh fruit and the occasional poisonous plant, because of this its saliva is highly poisonous to animals and men alike. This species has lateral winglets of membrane, fridges in its skin, and webbed feet to help it glide through the air(scienceblogs.org). Because of this adaptation, the spitting gecko has a prehensile tail and the setae growing on its feet grow on its tale; this helps the gecko grab onto the branches and trees in the forest as it lands(livescience.com). When the Splitting Gecko feels threatened it will first try to run away, if that doesn’t work it can only do one thing. Like a spitting Cobra, the Spitting Gecko has muscles in its mouth that squeeze its salivary glands; this allows it to spit up to 5ft with incredible accuracy(cuteness.com). The tropical rain forest is a very hot and humid place. It gets about 60 to 160 inches of rain every year, raining almost every day(cotf.edu).
