Name: Joseph
Sport: Golf
Strengths:
Skill (4):
Driving accuracy off the tee with Driver – provides good positioning for his 2nd shot. E.g. In the video when using his driver, his second shot was always off the fairway, which tells me that he’s accurate.
Long Putting – Always gives the ball a chance of going in as he hits it to or past the hole. E.g. He reads the pace and line of the putt correctly.
Flop shot around the green – When in a bad position around the green, this shot enables him to escape trouble. The shot means he can hit a very high shot that doesn’t go very far, but stops quickly. Joseph uses this shot when he misses the green to the right, and is hitting up onto an elevated green due to his positioning.
Fairway wood accuracy and distance control – This is key as he isn’t very strong and therefore doesn’t hit it very far. An example of him hitting this club is on the par 3, where he uses the fairway wood to hit his tee shot with, and hits his ball within 10 foot, giving him a great chance for birdie.
Tactics (3):
Confidence – He is confident with his game as he is prepared to take risks on the course. This is good as if he is confident they are likely to pay off, which will improve his score.
Consistently hits driver because he is strong with that club – He always finds the fairway that means he is in a prime position to hit his second shot. This means he will keep hitting this club to avoid any trouble.
Fitness (4):
Flexibility – Enables him to get in right positions at top of the swing which gives consistent ball striking. It also makes shots such as bunker shots and long irons/woods easier to do.
Balance – Means he maintains the correct position throughout the swing, which minimises some body movement mistakes.
Hand-Eye Co-Ordination – Enables a consistent swing to be performed over and over again. This minimises silly mistakes within the swing, due to a good
