Many advertisers take on the role of sponsoring sporting events or teams to bolster popularity and gain recognition through the team or event. Sport marketing urges memberships, sales, and recognition. These factors represent the biggest benefits for the companies, the athletes, the associations, the leagues, and sport event managers. Well thought out, effective marketing helps to understand the customer and the marketplace. Also, informed marketing decisions help increase status and importance in people's lives, sport is considered a profitable and sustainable marketing source. At large sporting events, sponsors like to take advantage of the large crowd to advertise products (handout products, freebies, contests, etc.) because more people will be able to see it. Therefore this is significant because not only is it a simple way to announce a product but it is also efficient due to the amount of people who would see it at a large event. “Another example of sports marketing through sponsorships, is the renovation of the contract between Adidas and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF). In August of this year the CEO of Adidas Herbert Hainer in companion of the president of the FMF, Justino Compeán announced the renewal of the contract in order to permit Adidas to continue producing and designing the uniform of the Mexican teams until 2018. This is an example of sports marketing because as it was define, sports marketing is a marketing strategy in which companies related to sports products or services promote their trademark through design, production or other resources. In this case Adidas, which is completely related to sports, is the company that is using sports marketing as a strategy, by designing the uniforms of the football team and as a consequence its trademark is being promoted every time there is a game.” (Wikipedia, Sports Marketing)…

Sports’ marketing is becoming more readily known as the vehicle that drives the sports business to success. It is “orientated toward consumers and about thinking, deciding and acting in terms of the final consumer. You have to know who your consumers are, what they want and need and use this effectively as a sports marketer orientating the drive more toward the market, not the product (Sports Marketing: The motor that drives the sports business (2005)). There are four crucial elements that a sports marketer must consider when positioning their product to the needs and wants of the consumer. The four elements are emotion, experience, engagement and entertainment. The following report aims to show through various studies the importance of the four E’s in a marketing perspective, the way in which the four E’s are used at an organizational level in sports marketing and finally how this connects and effects the consumer of the product or sport.…

Throughout my research on desired jobs that I would like to know more about, I settled on a marketing manager. The website that I found the best information on was www.Salary.com . According to the site, a marketing manager is someone who “develops and implements strategic marketing plans for an organization.” A marketing manager must be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. In marketing, you usually must have a lot of experience to accomplish goals. The average salary for a marketing manager is $86,788. The low for a marketing manager is roughly $63,000 while the high-end of the salary spectrum tends to near $115,000 in big corporations. Thirty-seven percent of marketing managers have 5-10 years of experience in the field. The education level for a marketing manager is mostly led by people with a bachelor’s degree. Following closely behind that are people holding a Master’s degree. Less than 3 percent of marketing managers have only an associate’s degree. People just having a high school education have almost no chance of being a marketing manager. Thirty-seven percent of marketing managers belong to companies of less than 100 employees. Twenty-two percent belong to companies having 100-500 employees. After 500 employees, it starts drastically going down for marketing managers. It seems that you won’t find nearly as many marketing managers in bigger companies compared to smaller ones. Marketing managers are split evenly with 11 percent of them each belonging to the Software and Networking industry and 11 percent being apart of the Retail and Wholesale industry. Following close behind with ten percent, marketing managers also go to the Business Services industry. Lagging slightly behind, are the Financial Services industry and the Education, Government, and Nonprofit industry for marketing managers. Overall, it seems that marketing managers are in many…
