ciusConfucius was known for he’s teachings, preserved in the Analects, focused on creating ethical models of family and public interaction, and setting educational standards. Confucius was born in 551 B.C. in the Lu state of China and died on 479 B.C. There was a historian named Ssu-ma Chi’en and according to Records of the Historian, Confucius was born into a royal family of the Chou Dynasty also Confucius was a descendant of a branch of the royal house of Shang, the dynasty (a family of rulers) that ruled China prior to the Chou, and a dynasty which ruled China from around 1122 B.C.E. to 221 B.C.E. His family, the K'ung, moved to the small state of Lu, located in the modern province of Shantung in northeastern China. It said and also believes that Confucius father divorced his first wife at an advanced age then, Confucius father he then married a fifteen-year-old girl from the Yen clan, who gave birth to Confucius.

    Confucius was born in 51 BC and grew up in poverty. His real name is Kong Zi, the name Confucius, catholic priests finding it easier to use, gave it to him. The causes were that, Confucius said, and wrote in his books, that the past was better than the present.
