The things that impacted me about the movie are the fact that it is based on a true-life story. The filmmakers did a good job of being realistic in the fact that not everyone is going to support a mentally challenged individual all of the sudden being a part of a…
With this movie it shows a lot of the good and the ugly in people. It shows that most people can change because of the…
It makes it easier to get emotionally connected, you can almost relate to what the mom and dad went through.…
This movie highlights the point of both teacher's and student's point of view of the subject matter. Both start out wit attitudes, but that changes. The people on either sides of the desk motivate each other, and despite that you may not be able to salvage from everyone of your pupils what you may expect, it doesn't mean that you cannot make a difference, be you teacher, or…
The movie begins with a picture of a detailed sand sculpture that leads into the Dalai Lama at age two with his family being disobedient in their family home on the border of China and Tibet. Scorsese could have used these images of the young Dalai Lama misbehaving as a way to show that he was still a human with human faults. It is interesting that Scorsese chose to begin the film with the young Dalai Lama at his home near the Chinese border and conclude the film with him crossing the Indian border being forced out by the Chinese.…
He got to prove, not only to his dad and family, but to himself. He finally received what he thought the good end of the deal was. I personally loved this movie. I had never seen it before so I enjoyed trying to see the perspective I was looking at. I received a deeper understanding as to why he was so determined and why his values seemed to be so important to him. I noticed that although he was going through so much, he stuck by his own and believed in himself. When I used conflict to observe Fortune, he caught me as the conflict…
This movie was inspiration for me because it shows me how two people changed the way are either for their family or for themselves.…
I liked this movie because of the settings, the way the movie was done and were it was done was beautiful because they used diffrent settings in a serious manner. One of the reasons i liked this movie again was when madea poured at bucket of water on the girl because, it was an unexpexted part in the movie and extremly funny to me and that happens in reality but its usually a cup, but this was a bucket that part of the movie really helped.…
It is a glimpse into how differently a father would raise his children if given a chance to do so without interference or boundaries. It reminds us that once parents learn to listen to each other instead of fighting with each other during divorce proceedings they will finally come around to doing what is best for their children. The movie introduces the viewers to the changing dynamic of the American family. Mothers are no longer stay at home moms who simply tend to children and cook meals. These days women like Miranda Hillard (Sally Field) are career driven heads of industries. It is also not uncommon these days to find a stay at home dad like Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams). The problem with this situation is that even though mothers bring home the bacon, they are still expected to come home and perform their wifely and motherly duties. Something that society has not once, throughout the history or marriages expected from the husband and father. Such a situation indeed takes its toll on any marriage and weakens the foundation of the…
This movie took me back when I was still a young man, trying to find my individuality. I remember comparing my father with people I admired. Although I hate to admit it I wanted to be more like those people than like my father just like C wanted to be like Sunny. Today I am a father myself and certainly don't want to see my kid hanging around with another person trying to take my place as a father, especially if this person is doing bad stuff ; just like Lorenzo tried to keep C away from Sunny.…
One key aspect that makes a movie enjoyable is being able to relate to it. There are many things that someone can learn or relate to in the movie Parenthood. It has many good, engaging points in the movie while also being funny and enjoyable. Every person is different, so everybody relates to movies differently. Im sure everyone can relate to Parenthood in at least one way. There are three scenes, or points, of the movie that I can really relate to. I can relate to Parenthood in the way that Gil and Karen raised there kids, the rollercoaster story told by the grandma, and the final scene of the movie in the hospital.…
The many characters and plot twists in this movie made it enjoyable. The mystery of Bunny and the money was enhanced by the introduction of characters as the plot developed. The movie included social commentary on; the first Gulf War, veterans and the Vietnam war, the feminist movement, nihilism, as well as ethics and much more. The complexity and delicate delivery of the film is what makes it a classic and a movie I will watch over and over again.…
For myself, this movie has all the values that are worth on people, the chance to meet other people and giving them a chance to know them, also talking bout football its one of the greatest movies ever done,…
The movie Little Buddha follows the story of a boy named Jesse who lives in Seattle and is said to be the reincarnation of a dead monk named Lama Dorje. The monks bring Jesse and his father to Bhutan where him and two other children are to be determined if they are really the reincarnation of Lama Dorje. There is also a second story going on in the movie which shows how Siddhartha left his fathers kingdom and became Buddah. The movie follows many of the topics on Buddhism that we covered in class and gives a clear vision to what all the guidelines Buddhists have to follow to reach complete spiritual enlightenment. Although the ending of the movie is pretty vague on some things it gives a pretty good felling of what the life of a Buddhist is like and how spiritual they are and in touch with their inner souls.…
As a human most of us know how it feels to lose the first love of our life. The man or woman that we are “going to marry” one day. What made this movie so special is that it shows through heart break and trials in life that there is something out there. There is something/someone special for us. No matter how hard life can be and no matter how long our sadness last. There is a light. We always have the ability to get up by ourselves or with a little help from our friends and family. The best part of the movie is that Tom saw the light and after all those years he finally pursued his dream of being an architect and fate introduced him to yet another fish in the…
