St. Anthony was born in Portugal in 1195 A.D. He attended a cathedral school in Lisbon, but at age 15, Anthony joined the Canons, a holy order. He soon after moved to Coimbra and for the following years he devoted himself entirely to the studies of theology and scripture. When he was 26, Anthony left the Augustinian order and joined a Franciscan order, after witnessing the return of five Franciscan protomartyrs, whose headless bodies had been brought to St. Anthony’s monastery for burial -- St. Bernard, St. Peter, St. Otho, St. Accursius, and St. Adjutus -- who shed their blood for the Catholic Faith in the year 1220, in Morocco, in North Africa, had all met Anthony at a younger age, and their deaths strongly influenced his desire to leave the Canons regular of Augustine, and pursue his own life as a missionary and a martyr. His feast day is:13 June which is 2 days before my birth day (another connection). …show more content…
All of what was stated above is why I am linked to St Anthony so strongly(apart from the beheaded men).
I chose St. Anthony for many a reasons but the reigning above them all is I am constantly losing items from usbs to homework. Thus my analysis is this I am connect from experiences such as when his book was stolen from him yet the robber gave it back the same happend to me but electronically. Some back story to the last mentioned, he had stolen my music but then gave it back and deleted his copies of the
songs.
One last requirement to fill if I have not already.I am deeply connected to St. Anthony because I too wanted to study theology and we have similar stories. However if that is not enough I have been misguided for some time late last year, online of course, I had fallen to the dark side at that point as far as going to places on the internet that “don’t” exist. Then I stumbled on to a site that taught me to use my skills for good and I would not have found that site with out his help.
