Saint Joseph was chosen by God to be Jesus's father on earth. God knew that Jesus would need a foster father to raise him and teach him. The Bible tells us that he was a 'just man' which meant that he was a good, honest, fair, and God-loving man. He always took the word of god inti his soul and understood what God was trying to tell him. By absorving it into him he encouraged other people to do the same and open their hearts to listen to others, respect them, and get along.

Saint Joseph was a man of great spirit who was known as "just man," because he carried out what God had told him to do and accepted his advice into his heart. All his life Saint Josephlived by his faith. Everytime he spoke his own words, listened to God and others in silence and politeness, and always helped other people. He helped build homes for the poor, supported families with protection, and was a patron of many countries. With his heroic faith he was chosen to be a patron of a Universal Church.

Both Mary and Joseph living in Nazareth were visited by angels. It all started with a dream. An angel came to Mary and told her that she would be the Mother of God. When Joseph found about this he wondered what to do. After a while an angel came to him in a dream too and told him not to worry. He said that the child was the Messiah who was chosen by the Holy Spirit. Joseph was then asked to take Mary into his home and to be her husband for the rest of his life. So he married Mary and they both lived together.

After the Messiah Jesuswas born in Bethlehem, the angel appeared to Joseph again. He warned him that the child was in danger and that King Herod wanted to get rid of

    a. Joseph shows deep compassion to his brothers even when his brothers wanted to kill him. Joseph was second in command in Egypt and could have easily turned his brothers away leaving them to die, but instead he decided to love them and help them through the famine. Envy is the basis for how Joseph’s brothers behaved. It started with them envying Joseph because he was his father’s favorite. Then they were envious of his coat of many colors, and finally they were envious and offended by the dreams Joseph experienced. This envy drove them to sell their brother into slavery, which leads to another theme, diligence. Joseph showed diligence and devotion to God. Even when he was thrown in jail and framed for things he did not do, he still diligently sought God and followed his…

In the film Jesus, Joseph seemed to be one of the most important things in Jesus’ life, but in the Bible, there is almost no description of Joseph’s role as a father. Jesus cared about Joseph very much like his own father just like Joseph loved Jesus as his own. In the film, Jesus became very depressed and didn’t want to go preach to the world without his guidance when Joseph died. Joseph was his role model and Jesus did look up to him. Joseph did teach him how to be a carpenter and taught him how to be a servant to God.…

Joseph Strom is portrayed to be extremely religious. Early in the book, this character trait is clearly shown when David is talking about his father and states “When, at the age of sixteen, [Joseph] had made his first public appearance, by giving a Sunday address in the church his father built” (Wyndham: 17). Then, “…[Joseph] continued to preach frequently on Sundays and to explain with practical clarity …”(Wyndham: 17). This shows, that Joseph started at a young age believing in religion, and “[sets] a high example to the district.” (Wyndham: 17). He obviously continued with this religious path because years later, his religious views are shown when Aunt Harriet has a blasphemed child. Aunt Harriet doesn’t feel the same way whatsoever about her child as Joseph does. ” [She] is not ashamed” (Wyndham: 72). Joseph tells Aunt Harriet how wrong it is to have a deviated child, and Aunt Harriet says many hateful things towards God about the world. Joseph believes “[She] [has] much to pray for.” (Wyndham: 72) so he tells her to ‘”…pray that [her] sin of intention, as well as [her] other sins may be forgiven” (Wyndham: 73). Since Joseph thinks ‘“[Aunt Harriet] [has] produced a defilement.”’ (Wyndham: 72) and ‘” [She] [has] not kept constant vigilance for impurity.”’ (Wyndham: 72) he shows his religious trait by giving religious opinions. The readers also see that Joseph is religious by the reaction he gives when David says ‘” [He] could have managed it all right by [himself’] if [he’d] had another hand.”’ (Wyndham: 26). Joseph is in shock, and must confirm…

Furthermore, as he chooses to present a White-centered narrative that pays little attention to both the ideas and the methods of the civil rights activist, he diminishes the historical importance of African American activists in transforming the United States by making it both politically and socially more inclusive. The “Great Men” narrative that Lawson utilizes fails to present the complexity of the civil rights movement and the resilience of the activist, who, despite the numerous setbacks they suffered, continued to fight for their rights. By not paying any attention to the grassroots, Lawson creates a false picture of racial and social progress. He implicitly suggests that having a more or less amicable administration in place would be sufficient to maintain or advance the interests of historically marginalized groups. That is unfortunate, particularly because the article was published at the turn of the century, long after conservative forces had begun to dismantle some of the hard-won reforms. Consequently, a more inclusive approach that depicts the essential groundwork before and after the national leaders of the movement negotiated legislative reforms with the national government, would have been warranted.…
