Stable, No Civilization Without Social Stability

“‘Stability’ said the controller, ‘stability. No civilization without social stability. No social stability without individual stability’” (Pg 42). I think that this quote is ironic because their society isn’t really stable at all. The health of the society relies on a miracle drug called Soma, which drugs them to believe that the place that they’re living in is the best place on earth and that nothing is wrong with it.
