Selection and Staffing

It is extremely important to have a staff that keeps a business running effectively and efficiently. Having proper recruitment procedures is highly important to proficiently staffing an organization. I have recently started my own organization and I need to hire a staff. I know how important it is to hire the right people to work for me. The purpose of this paper is to explain the procedure I would use to staff my new organization.
Choosing who you select to join your business is one of the most important decisions a new business has to make. The first step I would take in hiring a staff is to analyze what exactly I need help with in my business. It is extremely hard to run a business on your own. I need to decide what tasks I can do on my own and what tasks I need to delegate to someone else. I also would need to look into whether they would be a full-time or part-time employee.
Once I realize the positions that I need filled, I will need to write up job descriptions of what I expect my prospective employees to do and what the employee can expect. I will need to detail whether or not the candidates need to meet any educational qualifications or past experience qualifications. I also need to come up with a list of personality characteristics that I think my future employees should possess. It is important to recognize that some positions will require different personality traits than others. Finding a candidate with the right qualities and the right skill set can be extremely difficult.
My next step in the staffing process would be to figure out a budget for my business and figure out how much of the budget can be designated to paying my new staff. I need to make sure I can afford to pay a good and fair wage to attract quality candidates for my business.
