One may immediately assume when they hear the word "stakeholder" that it refers to the financial institution that has granted them the funding that made their program possible. This is certainly true, in fact, they are perhaps the most important and influential one. However, stakeholders are also staff members, program participants and their families, program administrators, the target population or community, and other outside parties who may be called upon for their services for further evaluation of the program.…

A stakeholder who is able to effectively parlay their power and influence can have a profound impact in how that particular organization conducts business on many levels which, in turn, may create some rethinking and reposturing of the mission, vision, and strategy of an organization. It is certainly in the best interest of the organization to build strong relationships with their many stakeholders so as to add value to their overall brand and image (Lawrence & Weber, 2011).…

The main issue that is described in this case study is the impact of uninsured is great for many of the stakeholders that are involved. The main problem here is that there doesn’t seem to be a solution anytime soon. Unemployment continues to be a major concern and without a job insurance is not very probable. In mid-September the US Census Bureau reported that the number of people without health insurance increased in 2009 to an all-time high of 50.7 million. Much of this increase can be attributed to the loss of employer-sponsored health coverage as the recession worsened during 2009--but even before the recession, the number of uninsured had reached a crisis point (Molyneux, 2010).…

Programs in the Human Service industry are directly and indirectly affected by its primary, secondary and, key stakeholders. Stakeholders could also be persons who are not directly affected by the program itself. These people can be those who have strong interest in the cause or program, those who are of political and philosophical and academic persons. Stakeholders are not just the funding companies but are also the staff members, the administrators of the program, the community the program wishes to provide services in, other businesses that may be used to serve on behalf of a company or organization and more importantly the people and families of the people who are being helped directly by the program. The needs and expectations of the stakeholders affects a program because it is important to hear everyone’s voice in the building of an organization or program. It is also important to know the expectations in order to create a working program that benefits those that should be benefitted and to acknowledge the concerns of those who will be doing the work or contributing to the program in some way. The needs and expectations of the funding agencies should be met simply because they are the funding agency and have specific drives for what they intend to fund. It is important to honor their wishes so that the program remains funded and the requirements usually shape the program in its entirety. If a funding company wants the program to include more people than what a program wants to help it is because the funding agency has done its research and want to lend more help in…
