One of his first jobs was writing obituaries for the National Tuberculosis center. He became an editor at Timely comics in 1941. Timely comics would eventually be renamed “Atlas comics in the 50s and was rebranded as Marvel comics in 1961. (“Stan Lee." movies, and creative superheros. Stan Lee's career started when he wrote his first popular comic books that showed his talents. Mr. Lee has done many different things in his career, but it mostly known for his comics. Stan pretty much created the marvel; universe. There are about 756 characters that marvel has brought into the world. Even though the number is not truly accurate there are a lot of superheros and villians. Not including the mythical gods way before the time like Thor, Odin,and Loki. Marvel comics issued their first comic in october of 1939. Stan Lee has created some of our favorite heros that families and kids love all around the world. The X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, Dr. Strange, and a personal favorite Deadpool.X-men was issued in September of 1993 as well as Iron Man and Dr. Strange. Deadpool is one of the most recent comics coming out in 1991.("Stan Lee." Contemporary) Marvel comics have been competing with DC comics for over 50 years. Dc comics was before Marvel coming out in 1934 only for Marvel to be announced five years later. ("Stan Lee." Contemporary)Still to this day they compete in movies and comics. DC created a villain of Batman known as Deathstroke, Marvel came up with Deadpool which is a copy and is more favored even though Deathstroke aka, Slade Wilson was 11 years before Deadpool aka, Wade Wilson. Stan is the recipient of the 2,428th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It is located at 7072 Hollywood Blvd, in front of the Live Nation Building. Action packed movies are another reason why Stan Lee is one of the most successful writers of our time.
Marvel has a series of movies like The X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, and The Hulk. Not only do they have movies, they also are known for TV shows. Agents of Shield, Black Widow, Arrow, and a new show on netflix Iron Fist. Almost every Marvel movie Stan Lee has put himself hidden in the movies. He doesn't put himself as a main character but as what people call a easter egg or hidden message. The 93-year old icon has subtly appeared in all manner of Marvel media, from narrating “The Incredible Hulk” TV series in 1982. It is no secret that Stan has cameo roles in many Marvel movies, but did you know that it is part of his contract? A special clause in the agreement specifies that Stan must appear in any film based on one of his characters.There are many new movies coming out in 2018. Guardians of The Galaxy 2, Dr. Strange 2, and a most recent which is not finalized a Black Panther movie.("Stan Lee." IMDb) Stan Lee is still trying to give certain Marvel characters a movie or there own Tv shows. It's either the heros are not popular enough or just simply not enough money to budget the movie etc. Even though the movies coming out in 2018 aren’t finalized there still is a lot of talk about them showing on the big
screen. Finally, Stan Lee shows his talents and success by creating some of our favorite super heros we love today.
Stan has been coming up with superheros for over 50 years. Mr. Lee has done work with DC comics to help keep the storylines of certain characters alive. Even though the Green Lantern is part of the DC universe Stan has helped form the superhero and bring him to the big screen. The Black Panther is the first Black Modern day superhero, besides Nick Fury in the Iron Man movies and The Avengers. When the director of the Iron Man movies could not find the right actor, Samuel L. Jackson asked to play the role because in the Marvel multiverse Nick Fury. ("Stan Lee." IMDb)Nick Fury was favored more black than white. Samuel L. Jackson brought the character to life. Stan Lee is responsible for creating some heros that kids love today. Spiderman is a very popular hero among kids around the world. As well as The X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Dr. Strange, Deadpool, and Black Widow. Not all heroes are men.
