Standardized Tests Are Necessary For Students

For years, standardized assessments have been pushed upon students. While they do have some benefits, more problems are continuously emerging. Students are put under enough stress as is attempting to learn large amounts of material in a semester and by forcing tests is adding to it. These tests should be optional for students. In most cases, students memorize information and later forget it; therefore, never actually learning the topic. A test produced by a group of people that is administered to millions of students is not an efficient way to register how well a student is learning. In addition, students do not learn the same so how can every student be tested by the exact same test? They can’t. Millions of American parents are constantly
