This paper will cover the elements of design of the movie “300”, it was released in 2007 and the movie was directed by Zack Snyder. Snyder desired to create a world from a popular illustrative novel that gives extraordinary images. To do this, the film was shot indoors utilizing green screen that helped to build the world that he imagined. He also added grains and lens flares to the film because he desired to achieve an uneven feel but has a very natural feeling (Miller). Snyder was capable of giving the overall suggestion to help build a great creative world scene in to this film. The production designer of this film is James Bisell. He mentioned in an interview before, that he wanted to guarantee that he had created a sizeable world. He had created a coastline of over 16 miles in the film 300. Computers were utilized in order to create a three-dimensional landscape. Most of the film had landscapes in most shots, to comprise a large component of a plot when the Spartans chose to utilize it against the Persian intruders; this design is such a big part in the film. In this movie, Leonidas, the King, wage war against the Persians and he showed his ability as a fighter. The film was shot with a very dusty lighting kind of feeling. That helped to give honor to the reality that, the plot came from a graphic novel and it attempted to imitate that kind of sense in the film. It also helped to make a world where the characters are strong and not frightened about anything, because they know how great they are as a warrior. The overall lighting does not alter anywhere in the movie, to incorporate a certain scene that draws you into the story.…

The Mexican Gray Wolf once flourished and roamed the lands from México to Canada, but in the 20th there populations were severely dwindled and they now find themselves on the endangered list. The United States government approved a systematical eradication of the Mexican Gray wolf from the lower 48 states (Mexican 1999). During the 1800’s, westward expansion was rapidly moving across the US leading to the elimination of the larger mammals the wolves preyed upon. After some time, the depletion of the wolves hunting stocks forced the wolves to hunt livestock. Due to the wolves turning to livestock, they were hunted, poisoned, trapped, and shot down by bounty hunters. By the 1970’s, the Mexican Gray Wolf was placed under the protection of the Endangered Species Act. Sadly, by the time the Mexican Gray Wolf was placed under this Act, there were only a few hundred remaining in Minnesota (Gray Wolf 2007). Ever since the Endangered Species Act, efforts have been made to reintroduce the Mexican Gray Wolf back into its natural habitat (Mexican Gray Wolf 1999). In 1982, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service partnered with Mexico to establish measures and preserve the wild populations of the Mexican Gray Wolf in Mexico and areas of southwestern United States (Shoenecker 1997) The Mexican Gray Wolf reintroduction program has its pro’s and con’s, but is a serious debate that needs a final decision made immediately.…
“Aren’t you a little short for a storm trooper?” (Lucas New Hope 40). Rings a bell, doesn't it? This is one of the many quotes and a memorable one from Princess Leia in George Lucas’s saga Star Wars. Lucas had created an all American myth and was the first to do it. His movie saga used every archetype known to man and was inspired by the book The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell. Campbell’s book also had every archetype known to man in it. It affected an innumerable amount of people around the world. Lucas’s Star Wars saga even went further than the big screen by inspiring comics, video games, toys, and other merchandise making Lucas a billionaire. His first three movies he made in the saga are New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of The Jedi. In this Star Wars trilogy, George Lucas illustrates that the hero must be wounded either physically or emotionally to be open to spiritual knowledge and transformation. Leia’s wounds open her to love, Luke’s wounds open him to becoming a Jedi Knight, and Anakin Skywalker’s wounds open him to redemption. These transformations are marked by physical and emotional wounds.…
