Video interviews of George Lucas along with those of the prominent actors in the series like Natalie Portman & Carrie Fisher, for instance, accompany these costume displays in conjunction with flip-books detailing each costume’s intricate design and influence.
Here's a fun fact: the elaborate throne room gown Queen Amidala wore in The Phantom Menace had gotten its power from, of all things, a car battery ensconced in the folds of the dress. Imperial trooper knit caps also took design cues from alpine troop members of the German army in World War II to evoke the fascist theme Lucas sought for them.
