of thinking I thought of something.
Going through the Holocaust is one of the most scared to death situations to be in. To see your friends and family members leaving you, is horrid. When I started to really learn about this, it affected me dramatically. I could never think of seeing all of my friends and family going away forever, but I knew that some people had to witness this. What I learned quickly is that there is one day of the year that we remember those brave and honorable soldiers who fought. Because with every person there is a name, and with every name there is an identity. I know that, those soldiers risked their lives for anyone. As a very powerful man once said, “it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you live. It doesn't matter whether you're black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay or straight!”(President Obama). Those soldiers risked their lives every day to save that one man or one women. That is why the most important and memorable thing that affected me, were those soldiers that did everything for everyone.
