My father is an engineer with the Rajasthan State Electricity Board. With three elder sisters and coming from a conventional business and trader’s family he bucked the trend to pursue engineering and then a government job. Since he had not followed the tradition, as a child I was never required to follow it. I had exposure to all sorts of options but decided to take up the baton from my father as I had a natural inclination for Mathematics and Science which led to my solid performance both in the 10th and 12th standard public examinations.
I choose Instrumentation and Control Engineering driven by its applications across varied fields and to me it was the heart of manufacturing technologies be it in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics or Computers. My time at Nirma University’s Institute of Technology has been the most wonderful of times. Not only did I have the best of faculty and teaching, but also a group of incredible batch mates who are smart, hardworking and ambitious pushing me to do more than I thought I am self capable of. I also got incredible opportunities to participate and lead technical events. I was elected the Vice President of the ISA (Instrumentation System and Automation) and this helped me evolve as a capable manager which I know will help when working on significant and multi area projects and research.
I had several projects in each year and they have progressively improved my ability to understand and apply to achieve results in my field. As I worked on these projects, I experienced what Dale Carnegie quotes “Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger.
