My decision to apply for MIS course at your university is driven by my aspiration to work in a challenging domain, where I can put my technical and analytical skills to the best use for the benefit of my company. With computer and the processing of information becoming ubiquitous, this field finds a critical place in decision making in organizations. Since childhood, I have been fascinated with the idea of being precise with numbers. Playing with numbers and data enthralled me, enabling me to excel in academics. In class 12th, I scored an aggregate of 96.4%. Since my father is a scientific officer at a Heavy Water Plant in Manuguru, I was exposed to the technological world very early in life. My schooling at the prestigious Atomic Energy Central School also provided me enough impetus and exposure to explore this world and the world of computers. After junior college, I gave both the State Board Engineering entrance examinations as well as the All India Engineering Exam, where again I excelled, scoring the 86th and 2104 rank respectively. This helped me choose and pursue the field of my interest i.e. Electronics and Communications from the prestigious National Institute Of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal University.
As a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering, subjects like Telecommunication switching and systems, Signal and Systems, Marketing Management, Probability theory and applications caught my interest. I scored an average of 8.5 in all of them and most notably a full 10 in marketing management. The subjects felt tailor made for me.
