The desire to excel leads one for the quest of knowledge, which I feel, is the driving force for me. My decision to pursue graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering is the outcome of thorough consideration of my academic background, the areas of my interest.
Prior to undergraduate studies my educational background consisted of thirteen years of schooling out of which three years were given to Diploma in Mechanical Engineering .i chose diploma to facilitate my higher studies in Engineering faculty. The field of Mechanical Engineering has intrigued me since my high school years. As an adolescent, I had a keen interest in the mechanism of various machines. My parents are from the educational field so the values of gaining knowledge and broadening my outlook have been inculcated right from inception. My father has been the source of inspiration for me.
During my graduation I realized how challenging the field of Mechanical Engineering is. In this competitive world specialized knowledge is the only key to success. During Six years of Mechanical Engineering(Three years of diploma & three years of engg. till now as I am in final year)the broad based curriculum and guidance has built a strong foundation in the concerned subjects. Subjects like Machine Design, Manufacturing Processes, Strength of Materials, Operation Research that deepened my interest and reinforced my pursuit in this field.
I have undergone industrial training in Durgapur Steel Plant which is one of the biggest plants of India. It was really a good practical exposure to the industrial environment. During the training I completed a Project Locomotive Maintenance, which was a great experience for me.
During Engineering I work for five organizations i.e. K.J.V Alloy Conductors, APTECH Ltd., NIIT, Government Institute of Hotel
