AUTO MUTE FOR AUDIO DECK
(Automatically Mute Your Audio System when you receive a call)

Muting car’s audio deck, while talking on cell phone is an important yet difficult task. This project is designed to solve the problem. A sensitive IR transmitter and receiver pair is designed and fixed to a cell phone holder. Always the cell phone should be placed in the holder.

The transmitter unit continuously transmits IR rays. These IR rays are interrupted by the cell phone. Whenever the cell phone is lifted from the holder, the IR rays fall on the receiver and it sends a signal to switching circuit. A relay is driven by a relay driver circuit and the relay opens the deck speaker wires and the audio will be muted.

After the completion of the conservation, the cell phone should be kept back in the holder. Again the IR rays will be interrupted and the relay will be de-energized. Music will be played again normally.

This project uses regulated 12V, 750mA power supply. 7812 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac out put of secondary of 230/18V step down transformer.

POWER SUPPLY The power supplies are designed to convert high voltage AC mains electricity to a suitable low voltage supply for electronic circuits and other devices. A power supply can by broken down into a series of blocks, each of which performs a particular function. A d.c power supply which maintains the output voltage constant irrespective of a.c mains fluctuations or load variations is known as “Regulated D.C Power Supply”
For example a 5V regulated power supply system as shown below: Block diagram of power supply

Transformer Transformers are static devices made up of one or more windings, in which those with two or more windings are coupled, and may be manufactured with or

Hansen Consulting proudly presents the following statistical information for Otto’s Auto parts. Statistics is a branch of mathematics that makes it possible for you to gain an edge over your competitors by providing a method for collection of data, and a way to summarize and quantify it to represent real world observations from which predictions can be made. Statistics also includes stochastic modeling, which is a powerful tool that incorporates random variables to predict future outcomes. For decades insurance companies have successfully profited from using stochastic modeling for making predictions of unknown entities. Stochastic models can be run hundreds or even thousands of times to show the likelihood of which outcomes are likely to occur, based on different managerial decisions, and what their expected ranges are in the long run. We will discuss stochastic modeling in further detail later.…

Adoption is an extremely sensitive subject,(insert dash) especially for individuals who are Gay or Lesbian. There is much controversy on the topic. There are a variety of ways to which it isn’t possible for a couple to adopt. Infertility is becoming a greater problem in our time. In Gerald P. Mallon’s article, “Assessing Lesbian and Gay Prospective Foster and Adoptive Families: A Focus on the Home Study Process,” in 2007. He introduces a few different ways gay men and lesbian couples go about starting a family and mentions how the decision to adopt or become a foster parent for a child is a huge step in parenting. There are even more studies today that show, gay men and lesbians make good parents. In Scott Weber’s article, “Nursing Care of Families with Parents who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender,” he brings to attention, what the child may experience growing up in such circumstances. Some things a child may experience are teasing and sensitivity to being harassed. Both articles have valid arguments on the topic of gay men and lesbian headed families. Mallon argues how lesbians and gay men are potential parents for many children and youth who need permanent families while Webber argues children of non heterosexual couples are more likely to be teased and sensitive to being harassed.…

The AC voltage, from the mains supply is initially stepped down to the desired voltage, which is then rectified to be applied to the input terminal of the voltage regulator IC. As mentioned earlier the voltage regulator then takes care of supplying a constant voltage at the output terminal. This voltage can be varied according to our requirements with the help of a variable resistor. This project designed has the ability to vary the voltage values from 1.5V to 25V at an output current of 1A.…
