Statement of Purpose for Pr
Statement of Pupose

Born and brought up in Mumbai, the capital of the state of Maharashtra, I am Ekta Patel, the 22-year-old woman of modern India brimming with its inherent ambition and passion to grow while breaking new boundaries for myself. It’s not easy to introspecting about oneself but the earliest I could recall, I see myself on stage as a vibrant, extrovert kid talking to audience through, putting my dancing shoes to fly with music. That’s how I started, the bundle of energy in me made me explore the best there was. However, the extrovert streak in me helped discover life beyond of what I have known. The MA Public Relations is a carefully designed course that keeps the need of the prospective employer in mind aiming at; managing effective PR strategies in a variety of contexts, the needs of developing advanced-level knowledge and capabilities in written and oral communication, Interpretation of the context in which PR takes place, using interactive media strategies to deliver messages to a segmented audience, research methods and campaign planning. The future probably belongs to people who see possibilities before they become obvious. It belongs to those very travellers who pierce through the clouds of oblivion with the force of their determination. Some say that it is the media that shapes the world around us. Others argue that the media merely reflects our society as we make it. Either way, public relations is involved in shaping the opinions that we have on the personalities that the media presents us with through reputation. To create and maintain the reputation and positive representation of an organisation or individual is challenging and ever changing and I believe that this is why public relations appeals to me with its unrelenting energy and power. A career involving unexpected changes, inevitable twists and turns appeals to me far more than a life of routine ever could. I have always believed that the answer to my destiny lies in

My pursuit of physical therapy as a profession comes from my interest in healing the human body. Originally inspired by my grandfather, it has been my profession of choice for as long as i can remember; From a young child observing my grandfather unable to be mobile without the use of a cane, to my teenage years when I learned about the dynamics of the human body, to even more recently, after the excision of an osteochondroma on my femur during my time spent in the care of a physical therapist. <---RUN ON SENTENCE, ADJUST IT These humbling experiences have helped solidify my passion for physical therapy.…

The statement below is an exemplar of a strong statement of goals – it contains many (though not all) of the elements of a strong statement (see sidebar and concluding comments in boxes for details). The purpose of this exemplar is to assist you in considering elements of a strong “statement of purpose” for your doctoral application. This is only one example and not meant to imply that all statements should be similarly structured – rather, the most salient features of elements that should be included have been highlighted by side bar comments and at the end of the document. Before, the connotation that peace and diplomatic affairs should only be handled by world leaders and diplomats are very strong. However, as I was studying the different nursing and health concepts during my university years, realization dawned on me that health care professionals can also play a major part in peace-making, peacekeeping and peace building efforts. This belief was strengthened when I read “Peace through Health” by Arya and Santa Barbara. Given extensive and intensive training in diplomacy, mediation and conflict resolution, health workers can have unique opportunities for diplomatic work. Furthermore, I believe health care workers doing peace work can break barriers since the subject of health itself transcends individual goals even between parties divided by violence. Health according to WHO is one of the key components of human security which we all want to achieve. An adequate and equitable health care system gives humans security and this actually encourages peace. In my country, a long standing conflict between the government and rebels have caused so much mortalities and morbidities and not all are direct effects of violence. I wish to channel my efforts on lessening the peace deficits on these troubled parts of my country by leading them through health programs.…

Many people around the world want to build a career in Optics and Photonics and I am just one of them but I am different from others because of my eternal enthusiasm to study in this area. I started to dream about photonics and optical systems when I was at secondary school. In high school I started drawing optical systems. This made me more and more eager to study about optics and photonics. Step by step I was starting to make the little boy’s dream come true. After high school I decided to study Material Science or Physics to become more familiar with optic and photonic components. I started studying Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering at Sakarya University Engineering Faculty at 2004. At university, I was selected student of honors for 4 times. I was a quite active student here and I became the chairman of the Material Science and Engineering Club. More important is that I started to improve my skills about photonics. That’s why, TUBITAK ( Turkish National Scientific and Technical Research Center) Materials Institute was very good place for me, so I started to do my training there in Electron Microscopy and XRD-Spectroscopy Laboratories. In TUBITAK I focused on spectroscopy techniques, photonics systems, photonic detection and characterization. Compulsory official training time was 1 month but I extended the time to 5 months for my self. My training result was (AA – in German System 1.0) excellent. Furthermore as a compulsory engineering design project I worked on Silicon-GermaniumNitrogen nanocables.…

Making posters on Tobacco Day, writing essays on topics like ‘Scope of public development’, presenting a seminar on ‘ART—A Traumatic Restorative Treatment’, debating issues like the setbacks that women physicians in Indian society face even today—and the difficulties they face in making them acceptable vis-à-vis their male counterparts—getting to see and know first hand the challenges that little children face in slums, the problems that the adolescents grapple with and the shattered dreams that the youth pick up and move on with such nonchalance. This, and much more, does one get to see, know and do when you grow up as an Indian keen to study and understand your society. The scope increases manifold when you are also a woman. As I am: A woman clinician. Not satisfied with that tag alone I have dared to move beyond … with the hope that some day I shall also move ahead.…
