Looking at the research trend, previously from pure sciences to interdisciplinary approach to tackle the problem and coming with apt solution chemistry plays an inevitable role. Be it chemical biology to solve medical issues, in material sciences to provide a better alternative for robust application, electronic and optic application, most important, providing a solution for energy demand of ever increasing population, providing an efficient and green method to industries for sustainable development, and many as such where chemistry is an integrated part.
My career goal would always be an excel personal in chemistry and research, be an avid person to learn new development and work for the betterment of society. Ten years down the line I see myself as a learner and productive research individual in the domain. I see myself as responsible, caretaker of my country and world environment, providing a sustainable and clean solution to meet the demand of people. I got much more exposure to the subject during my master study at Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), being a research based institute I got an opportunity to broaden my knowledge and insight of kind of work going on in catalysis. I have done my individual research project in catalysis and applied to organic transformation. The results and conclusion astonish me seeing the efficiency of the principles of catalysis. Few of which I can cite here as.
• First the most important are energy conservation, the principle on which catalyst work is lowering of activation energy, which ultimately reduces the reaction time.
• Selectivity of the catalyst provides better use of raw materials and reagents.
• The environmental issue is being solved to a much-desired extent, waste generation is minimum. The work up and separation of products become
