Statement of Purposes
In childhood toys expressing the brilliance of engineering attracted me the most. I took non functional toys (especially walkie talkies & dead phones) of my younger siblings & spent hours trying to fix them because engineering & science always influenced me, tempting to keep them as major throughout my academic career.
As an expression of attraction, engineering & science was my major in matriculation & intermediate which followed me in Bachelors program also. I did my Bachelors of engineering in Telecommunication from the leading engineering university of Pakistan (NED University) enriching my commitment to absorb the dynamics sculptured by state of the art individuals. The learning at NED gave me further insight of technologies like wireless networking.
Completion of my undergraduate program as valedictorian with 67%, I wish to quench my thirst further by making 1st step towards gathering advanced knowledge in my desired field. Having done CCNA alongside Bachelors makes me more confident & capable of handling the practical portion of my graduate studies. Furthermore my internship at Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited gave me exposure and valuable experiences from working within professional corporate environments. In my final year project I was introduced to software like NS2 & OPNET. My research was on “wireless mesh networking” which further enhanced my interest on how telecommunication serves different industries and I decided to do masters in telecommunication.
Today across the globe telecommunication is playing a key role in society. The traditional areas of telecom & Networking are rapidly converging to form a new sector and sub sectors. Master of Engineering Science (Network Systems and Telecommunications) offered by Swinburne can provide excellent career opportunities in the areas of telecommunication and network engineering because I will be given specialized knowledge in the field of data communication
