Have you ever wondered why is it that when you are in class you never leave with an understanding of the lesson or seem to remember anything that was taught, even though you were awake the whole time? Or when at work or driving, you seemed to have gotten the job done but you do not remember doing it or how you got to your destination. Well, that’s your consciousness at work. In the last 24 hours, I have experience different states of my consciousness. Let's’ take Daydreaming for instance. My morning started out boring, so as I ate my breakfast I started to daydream about becoming a world record holder for the 1600m. I want to say that the cause of me daydreaming was because, I and my little sister had a previous conversation about track and field, but in reality, the reason for me daydreaming was that my mood was low. I noticed that I was daydreaming because when I finished my breakfast I did not remember what I ate or how it tasted. My body was sitting at the table while eating but consciously I was not, rather I was daydreaming. Daydreaming is a regular for me, to be able to manipulate the world that I had created in my head and do as I want is a very remarkable picture.
