INTRODUCTION

Statistics is the study of the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and organization of data.
Pie Chart- a type of graph in which a circle is divided into sectors that each represent a proportion of the whole.
A Bar Graph (also called Bar Chart) is a graphical display of data using bars of different heights.
This report essentially highlights the average earning, median value and a graphical representation of the actor Aamir Khan’s box office earnings in the last 10 years (2004-2014).
He has been a rising star and his movies have broken box office record especially in the last 2 years with ‘PK’ grossing at 735 crores worldwide.

The above table shows the earnings of Aamir Khan’s movies in the past decade (2004-2014)
Average Earning of these 10 movies is 239 crores and the median value is 174.
Though the earnings are fluctuating, there has been a steady rise after 2011.

INTERPRETATION
The above pie distribution chart describes the box office earnings of 10 Aamir Khan movies. As the chart shows ‘PK’ released in 2014 has the highest distribution in the pie chart thus earning the highest amount. Second in position is ‘Dhoom 3’ followed by ‘3 Idiots’ in 2009.
The least earnings was from the movie Mangal Pandey in the year 2004.

INTERPRETATION
The above graph depicts the earnings of each movie in that particular year. 2014 has the highest earning followed by 2013. Least erning in 2004.
It can be observed that there has been a steady rise after 2010. Year 2009 is also at its peak though it was followed by a sudden drop in earnings.
