Three Ways to Stay Healthy Being healthy is very important to live a long life. When we are healthy; we are happier and can accomplish more in life. Yes, being healthy is not that easy with all of the fast food and sweets around. It takes motivation to stay healthy. There are three ways to stay fit and keep your body healthy and disease free; eat healthy, exercise, and relax. That sounds very strenuous for some people who are so busy with life and don’t really have the time. Whether its motivation or you just don’t have time you need to try and stay healthy, it is very important. The most important thing we can do to stay healthy is to eat nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables. Vegetables are not as bad as people think. Just because it is healthy does not mean it is nasty. Eating grains is very important for energy and to have proper digestion. You need protein for strong bones and the other 6 amino acids your body needs to function. Fish is also very important for protein and iron. The best food you can eat are vegetables though. Tomatoes have many vitamins and minerals that help fight off cancer and are very good for keeping your blood pressure at a good place. There is also carrots which are very good for your hair eyes and skin. The vitamins in carrots help protect your cardiovascular system and to keep your heart strong. Bell peppers whether they are red, green, or yellow are very good for you. Bell peppers can help prevent lung, colon, bladder, and pancreatic cancer. It is suggested that you eat at least nine servings (4 ½ cups) of fruits and vegetables a day. Eating healthy is not hard you just have to have some motivation to do it. Keep vegetables out where you can see them so maybe you will choose that over the piece of pizza. Explore the fruits and vegetable isle at supermarket, try different things. You never know it just might surprise you.
