King offered a new style of writing to his generation in which he wrote extremely detailed stories with non conventional characters that readers could relate to. “Because readers can identify with many of King’s three-dimensional, dynamic characters, his stories captivate and engage his loyal fans and first-time readers” (The Writing Style). Most of King’s readers are everyday people who don’t have the most typical lives and they enjoy reading about characters like themselves with the same problems. Many of King’s novels have been targeted for their violence and sexual content.
