Such is the case in the study hours between boys and girls. Girls tend to give an hour more in studying per week versus boys. Casual reading rates are also higher for girls.Three-fourths of girls claim to read casually compared with a bit over one-half of boys. Boys and girls differ when it comes to viewing each other in terms of “who is smarter” and “who gets better grades”. According to an experiment, where 144 children, ages 5-7, were asked whose gender gets “better grades” and “who is smarter?”. Over fifty-five percent of boys think that their own gender gets better grades compared to seventy-seven percent of girls who think they get better grades. This changes when asked “who is smarter” as 66 percent of boys think that boys are smarter compared with 55 percent of girls who think girls are smarter. When these children reach 5th grade, both boys and girls tend to think that girls do better in school. Girls are more attentive and polite than boys. This
