As time pass by, the people in specific regions are still using the old ideas to identify different groups of people. The way people identify others can cause both positive and negative effects on people. Stereotypes are ideas that people put to one specific group which causes social exclusion. However, people rely on others’ stereotypes before getting to know others. Stereotypes about Jews have both positive and negative. From long time ago and until present, stereotypes about Jews make the way Jews are treated by people differently. Positive Jewish stereotypes make people think Jews are always intelligent and rich. Sometimes, people are not wrong about it because over 50 percent of rich people are Jews in America. Many of Jews are rich so people think they control the economy, but actually the government interferes U.S. economy in many ways. No one would ever control a country’s economy because he/she is rich. Also, people think every Jew is intelligent because Jews always become doctors, lawyers, and businessmen in their lives. In addition, Jewish religious make Jews act differently and wear differently. People might think Jews are so different and don’t want to socialize with them. This makes many Jews only make friends with Jews. Moreover, too many Jews only marry with Jews causes many Jewish kids are mentally retarded because their parents’ DNA are too close to each other. Jewish social communication are limited by their religious. This is why people don’t understand Jews and think of Jews in the wrong
