In the married lives their still had to make sure they gave their husbands love, and friendship. No women had the chance to work and make great profit in the nineteenth century. Basically, all women were nothing without the help of a men and had little authority over the home and how they raised their children.. As a black women, I think that I would not have a chance to do the thing like middle and upper class women just because of my ethnicity. So with the different roles for the women would probably be very different for a black women. The way that women were treated was wrong and as the society goes on men start to realize the importance of a women.
