Specific Purpose:
By the end of my speech, my audience will be familiar with the different aspects of Steve Jobs’ life from an early age, and his career accomplishments.
Central Idea:
To give the audience a better understanding about the man who was well reserved, one must learn about his life from an early age, and his career accomplishments.
Introduction:
I remember when I was in Jr. High, and computers were being integrated into the classrooms. As a matter of fact, the class was called Computer Literacy. I also remember that when you would start the computers, they needed a few minutes to “boot up.” We had games such as Lode Runner, and Montezuma’s Revenge. I remember some time later, my parents bought our first computer. I remember my father saying, “I bought you this computer, to help enhance your education, I bought the top notch one.” What kind of computer was this? It didn’t have the same programs as the ones in school did. The graphics were much better, and it seemed to “boot differently. I didn’t have a clue how it really worked. Together with my older sibling, we discovered the different learning platforms our new computer had to offer. I felt as if it was a cornerstone for our learning process, with computers and technology; which I’m sure helped many other kids like us. One thing that I also remember is a big bitten apple as the insignia. It was an Apple computer. Today I would like to share with you, about Steve Jobs, father, husband, inventor, and entrepreneur. Obviously, since a young age, I’ve had a connection with Steve Jobs; which is why I have decided to give a tribute speech on this extraordinary man. Today, I would like to inform you about his life from an early age, and his career accomplishments.
