When people hear that Steven is a philosophy major, they sometimes begin to stereotype him before they meet him. When the word “philosophy” is said, people often think of drawn out, boring conversations about subjects that hard difficult to comprehend. This is not always untrue. Steven always enjoys having deep and thoughtful discussions with anyone who will join him. However, these conversations are often very interesting and thought-provoking. Much of his reserved personality came from his father. One of the traits that I admire and appreciate about Steven is the fact that he is so easy to talk to. It is not uncomfortable to bring up a thought provoking question and have a really interesting discussion, even if it is a tough subject.
At college, some of Steven’s friends find him introverted and a little reserved. They may sometimes even consider him “a kill-joy”, as he refuses to join in many of the activities they find so normal. This is not just him being dull or a drag …show more content…
He seems to have the mentality to make the best out of anything that comes and to help others to do the same. Steven believes that his aunt had an effect on that part of his life, because it was seeing her genuinely happy self that seemed to have fun with everything that made him make a conscious decision to change his mentality to do the same. This is an incredibly beneficial trait and can be applied to any and all areas of life. Steven found it especially helpful when transitioning to college life, which was obviously very different from the life he was used
