Still Alice Book Report

Still Alice is a story about a girl whose name is Alice Howland who is happily married with three kids. Alice is a well known psychologist at Harvard School. Everything was going for her until she got the shocking news that she has alzheimer's. It all started with her not remembering a simple word in her presentation at a conference in stanford that she was invited to in front of a huge crowd. She brushed it off thinking it must be a symptom of menopause. Deep down she is truly worried though.
Alice flew out to Los Angeles to visit with her daughter lydia who doesn't meet eye to eye with Alice. Alice does not agree with lydia's dream to pursue a career in acting.Alice flew back home after her short visit only to find that her husband was still at the lab working. It is an easy interesting read that shows how alzheimer's affects daily activities like finding the bathroom or remembering words. It is a very inspiring book because it shows how life can change in a blink of an eye and that you should not take life for granted.
I recommend this book because it is a very climatic book there is never a boring part in the book. From getting lost in time square to getting lost in her own house. This book keeps you on your toes and it's hard to put the book down. It is very descriptive of how she feels and her thought process. Another reason this book is a must read is because it touches your heart. When she writes her self instructions to the pills to kill herself so she did not have to live like that anymore. Another sad moment is when she os reading the story to lydia at the end and tells her what it is about. It is an emotional book. I would highly recommend this book to many. It is a thrill to read and super easy because it's hard to put
