Story Thieves Sparknotes
Some things should just be left alone if it’s not your business, or it might just get worse. In the fictional book, Story Thieves, James Riley used Owen to demonstrate, how getting into other peoples business, and using them for things isn’t right, and it can affect people and cause many problems.
In the beginning of the fictional book Story Thieves, Owen was very curious about what Bethany had been doing with her book, so he went to go find out .On page 10, Owen witnessed Bethany pulling herself out of a book. On page 51, Bethany had fallen for Owens plan, as Bethany leaded Owen into the book. Owen didn’t actually want to perform the location spell, to find Bethany’s father, all Owen wanted was to save the Magister from being killed and be his hero. When Bethany found out, when they were in the book, they left immediately because Owen had interacted with the main characters in the story. Owen not only interacted with the main characters, he told them they were just made up characters in a book, and also said that Bethany has powers and she can travel through books. When Bethany teleported them out of the Kiel Gnomenfoot book the Magister had taken a little of Bethany’s power and ability to travel through books, and had traveled himself and Kiel, to the real world. When the Magister and Kiel went into real life, the Magister jumped into books and took monsters out of their book into real life. The author stated that when Kiel and Bethany found out the Magister had taken monsters out of their books into real life, they went to the Magisters castle, that had risen into real life. When they found the Magisters tower, they fought his dragon, then kiel put all the monsters back into their original books, so Bethany could get revenge on the Magister. If Owen would have just minded his own business, everything would have been the way they are

“Just put place a little trust in him, Delta. There has to be an adequate reason that we’re bringing her along,” Walker responds, slamming the trunk shut. Delta shakes her head, ready to retort a response, when Eleanor walks out of the house. She looks much more put together than before, her blond hair in a neat braid and not a trace of the tear that were there before. But there’s still a haunting looking behind her eyes, one of fear and, under that, frustration. She strides down the stairs, towards the car.…

My second point is the Hermit. The Hermit is one of the side stories in the book they don't get that deep into the story but they give up just enough details to make a point out of it. The hermit in the book is considered to be evil by everyone in Wirrawee. But when Ellie discovers the Hermits den she finds old documents and photo's of his family. If he was so evil why would he keep them. Personally I think that he was putting his family out of their misery by shooting them, and he stayed away from everyone because he could not stand being judged.…

Paula, Jacob’s daughter, always coasts through life with an effortless smile across her face…or so it seems. Paula has a beautiful, angelic voice that could stop you in your tracks. “Paula had filled the silence with her own voice.” (175) The silence created by her Father’s omission of his past impacts Paula to have an empty, negative space in her life. On the outside, no one would ever accuse Paula of thinking negatively or being afraid. But, you cannot judge a book by its cover, “You wouldn’t believe it, but I’m still so afraid of the dark, after all this time; I go to sleep with my hands and feet twisted together for comfort.” (123) Jacob never told Paula of his past, which led to Paula feeling insecure, afraid, and lost. Once Paula does find out the truth of her father’s past, she is “broken, like somebody took her (me) apart.” (214) Jacob was just trying to protect his daughter by keeping his past a secret, but in the end has a more negative impact on her life.…
